I just wanna share a bit about my church. It's great. I think grown up as a Reformed, I'd never thought I could ever enjoy sermons like I had had in my church right now. I even calling it "my church" with no doubt now! One of the best thing that've ever happened to me here in the capital.
I introduce The International English Service.
A church that is often misinterpreted as an English course institution -lol-
A church that is located on the 11th and 12th floor in golden triangle area
A church that consists of all English speaking people (no matter what colour are you)
A church that is quite flexible in service time, where you can choose Saturday or Sunday
A church that is a part of Purpose Driven Churches (the only one in Indonesia)
A church that is non denomination but fully instrumented like a charismatic church
The main pastor is an American, whose wife is Asian. The teens pastor is a young cool 28-year-old ABC whose wife is American. Besides that, the people are warm and friendly.
And as some people consider to be a "plus", there is Ari. Hehehe.
He comes every week... well, almost every week, I guess (his name is right on the top of my name on the roster). Sometimes alone, but lately with a woman. Auuchh, sorry, girls :)
Last Sunday he joined the game which held on Kids week. We, as grown ups, had to sung and sat like children in Sunday School (being separated; boys and girls). We sung and done some funny movements, playing games, and having candies as present :D Cute, huh?
Well, Ari joined the line game, where each team (boys VS girls) must collect and construct longer line. The team who make the longest line win.
And then suddenly there was one Sunday School teacher who yelled at him, "Ari!! What are you doing with that cable? Where do you get that?"
And as the camera (in church we have some wide plasma screens to display the stage/ song lyrics) viewed him in close up, he tied the long cable (which obviously taken from the music intruments near there) to his body and make it "stylish" like a cross suspender and said that it was his accessories -lol-. Good one, fella. Hahaha. Then he finally threw away the cable when the Sunday School teacher told him that it was -obviously!-not allowed. He also got 8 stars from the children and won the competition of the day. Well, I guess if he win the deacon selection, he must take a part in Sunday School ministry for sure :) Children seems to cope with him very well...
I like my music team. Pastor Mischa, sister Gigi, Sonny, Jeffrey, Fabio, Popo, Junita, Brenda... They all brighten up the moments. And we all joint our heart together to praise God. Isn't that great? Though I need more vocalization to be able to produce a more modulated sound:p
So help me God... Thank you.
Have a nice week, frenz!
