Desperate Housewives- Started to Ticking Me Off

DH poster sold @abc.go.comHave you ever watch the ABC sensational series of "Desperate Housewives" (DH)? Lately, since my staying-at-dorm week, my housemate Dina had borrowed a full package of DH Season 1 from her colleague. Well, I didn't pay any attention at the series before, I just knew people were kept talking about it as a cynical pop-culture comedy and a-must-see-series. Hmm, rumours even said that the US president spare his leisure time to watch it :D So... driven by curiosity, I started to watched DH on Indosiar every Friday, at 11 PM (right after "The Apprentice" and before "CSI"). It is the perfect time for me to watch TV , coz I rarely go clubbing anymore on Friday nite, and it had become my "TV Time" after arrived home from my choir practice and had warm shower. Hehehe, dunno why... I just looovvee Friday nite... I mean, hey, the next day is Saturday, the weekend, which means you don't have to limit your bed time and doing just about anything you like ^_______^ v I usually wait Dina back from work, and just watch TV together while talking about anything unimportant. Hahaha, don't you just love girl's time out! I think even after I buy my own TV, I'd still be bugging Dina and we'd still be watching TV together in one room.

Bree, Lynette, Susan, Gabrielle, Eddie, Mary Alice
So, basically, what I like about this melodrama is the fact that it is simply saying that no one in the earth is perfect... even if they're trying so darn hard to be perfect. Perfect husband, perfect wife, perfect son, perfect daughter, perfect in-law, perfect neighbor... There are no such thing. But after I finished watching Season 1, I started to think that this TV series are not funny anymore... It used to be satire cynical funny, but after all the murders and hidden pasts it become kinda scary... Well, seriously, if you think about it, how scary is it to find out that your neighbor has ever killed 2 people and mutilated them, or your pharmasict is capable of breaking and entering just to switch your medicine and trying to kill you, or there is an ex-con who happened to be a former drug addict and capable of lying about his past living next to you, or realise that you're surrounded by many freaks like Zach, Ms. Huber, etc. Brrr, just thinking of it gives me the creep.

Anyway, I just filled in the DH quiz and turned out I am "Gabrielle" type -lol-, the unfaithful wife who was having an steady affair with her so-damn-cute gardener, John. Hm-hmmm, who wouldn't want an experience with a hunky like him... *drool* I guess that's why I can't think about commitment right now (beside the fact that there's no stud like John who actually single and hangin' around me lately:p) Well, as a trribute to him... here's some bio that I quoted from DH site on abc.go.com:
Jesse Metcalfe as John

Jesse Metcalfe is best known to television audiences for his role as Miguel Lopez-Fitzgerald on the daytime drama Passions.

Metcalfe grew up in Waterford, CT and attended New York University, where he studied film and acting at the Tisch School of the Arts, with the goal of one day becoming a director. He also worked as a model, doing commercial and print work for such publications as Seventeen and YM.

After graduation his modeling agency sent him on an open-call audition for the daytime NBC soap opera Passions, where he won the role of Miguel over hundreds of other actors. He also appeared in the FX television movie 44 Minutes: A Shoot Out in North Hollywood, and in a recurring role on Smallville. In his spare time, Metcalfe enjoys playing guitar and writing music. An avid basketball player, he has participated in "The Hollywood Knights," a charitable team that raises money for high schools throughout Southern California.
You can also check him out at his fans site. Enjoy! ;)
