Good Movie for Valentine's Day

the holiday

"If a relationship ends because the man was not treating you as you deserve then heck no,
you can't 'be friends'. A friend wouldn't mistreat a friend."
(What Oprah said about men)

Last Monday, after an exhausting shooting day with the children, I decided to catch this movie called "The Holiday". A friend ask me to watch it together, but somehow it was hard to imagine that the shoot was gonna wrap up before 8 pm. Yess! So, off I went to Senayan City to join everybody. It's sentimental time! Hehehe, but believe it or not, this movie somehow gave me a reason to stop living in misery. Juz becuz one doesn't love you the way u want it, it doesn't mean the whole world stops. Life goes on. You're moving on. I will love another (better) man. But for now I'm just gonna be "single but not available".
"The Holiday" is about two women who live in their misery. Both of them have one thing in common: they are not lucky in their relationships with men. Men don't treat them right. The one lives in UK, while the other lives in LA. In the middle of their grieve, they decides to switch their houses for two weeks. The UK lady is having this weird relationship with a guy that doesn't loves her, but somehow always tie her with sweet words and false hopes. The rich LA vamp is just breaking up her relationship with a materialistic guy. I find the words in this movie are quite smart, sharp, and funny indeed. So... real (note: for me).

Definitely a must-watched :) Ladies, u're gonna love it! I personally find it so true when Kate Winslet (the UK lady) said her thoughts about "why we always end up with the wrong kind." True. I believe the 'good kinds' are still exist, but probably are looking one who is better than us. LOL. Everybody wants the best for everything, especially if it involves a lifetime commitment. I'd rather be single than married miserably (err, or better yet... marry your best friend when you're still single by 40?) ^^

Sigh... It's not easy to be in love. It is such a wonderful feeling, don't you think? Well, happy Valentine's day, friends! ;)

After the movie, we hang out at Roti Bakar Eddie. I ate 1 1/2 bowl of bakso... Nyam! Miss my choir friends sooo much. Well, I'm not gonna runaway again. I promise.
