Personal Space

Do you realize that each of us has personal space that we want to protect? Some have wider personal space, some have smaller. I realize that I have a wide personal space, especially in new places and...public transportation! Well, I know it sounds unbelievable, but I never let my thighs touch other people’s thigh when I sit in a bus or waiting room (even if I’m sitting/standing in the middle). I don’t like to have the “soggy” feeling on my cloth after it touched other’s. Beside that, I am sensitive and easily felt tickled :D Knowing it that way, I usually over-concern whenever I’m in a crowd and everybody is “touching” one another. Err…

Concerning about that, sometimes I got disturbed if someone doesn’t respect my personal space… Imagine yourself wake up in the morning, take shower with your favorite bubble foam, and feel fresh: ready to conquer the day! Then in the bus, you have to sit with a smelly guy who looked like wouldn’t bother to clean up… and you have to bare that smell along the way… hmm… that could ruin my day. If it’s a regular bus I can take the consequence, but if it’s a PATAS bus…well, I would choose other seat. But it’s not just the touching part, I like to have my personal space all the time. When someone talks to me; it’s better if they keep a distance not less than 20cm. When someone pass me/ I pass them, I would never bump into them even a bit (if you ride on busway quite often, you would realize that there are people who always bump into someone else every time they pass)
