Falling into Grey (uh, Derek actually...) :p

I recently feel head over heels with this series. Thumbs up to Shonda Rhimes, the screenwriter of The Princes Diaries 2. Hmm... I thought there would be no doctor series better than E.R. (well, I used to watched Doggie Howzer, M.D. too, but it was a very long-looong time ago:p), but then I guess I was wrong, 'cause I got interested in Nip/Tuck series... -If you remember, I have written about it in this blog-.

I quit watching Nip/Tuck cuz I didn't like the entire cast, and more importantly... the series had turned into a semi hard-core porn movies. Sorry to say, but the plot and results were not the main focus anymore. And I don't like seeing nasty porn... man, I mean...that is the last thing a single person needs, rite -__-" Doh! Be more creative-lah!!

But then, there is this doctor movie... I repeat: this totally romantic doctor movie series :) My two most fave topics in television are stories about doctor/hospital and lawyer/law firm. Among them, the most memorable are Ally McBeal, and Grey's Anatomy (GA). Have you seen the last title?

I remember one day I spent my free evening to hunt for DVDs and kinda had no plans... so I decided to pick a TV series (I don't like Korean series, which totally sappy and need to be watched on the first and the last). I bought "GA", put it at home, got busy with work and kinda forgot about it... No one I knew was watching it either, so in Indonesia the series are not actually as popular as "Heroes" (dun like it, btw) or "Entourage" (haven't watched- next on my list).

Then the lonely days came... and the next thing I knew I was watching the trailer being played in Starworld... so I started to watch it and the addiction began...

Meet Meredith Grey, a gloomy little lady who became a surgeon despite of her mother's opinion. Her mother, Ellis Grey, is one of the legendary surgeons in her era. She met the love of her life (well, she didn't realize that constantly after they slept together) one day before she joined as an intern at Seattle Grace hospital (geesh, I do remember all the details!). The guy (Derek, later called "McDreamy") turned out to be the attending at the hospital. Hahaha, so the first sentence she spit out at him was, "Stop looking at me like that" "Like what?" Derek smiled. "Like you've seen me naked!" :)

The most reason for me to keep watching a series are striking words, and beautiful cast (of cuz!). My favourite cast would be McDreamy (Dr. Derek- Patrick Dempsey) and Dr. Burke (Isaiah Washington) ... but if you want a great boy friend, I think George is the best option (T.R. Knight-eventhough in the real life he is a gay)...hehehe... Looks like I have already sucked into the silver screen, huh? Yeah, I had imagined all of them coming to life at least once.

Here are 5 best moments in GA- according to me (season 1&2):
1. When George encouraged his resident, Dr. Bailey, during her labour. She got an anxiety attack, and refused to deliver the baby until his husband came. George was being so gentle, and able to saw her as a woman. The baby was later named "George".

2. The day after George & Meredith had sex. Meredith pleaded, "Can we just go back like we used to?" and George standing at the door answered, "I don't know how to go back" It's like a constant reminder for us to think before we do stupid careless thing (that could ruin a friendship forever, I did feel that. I can't go back, so next time I'll think before I did stuff).

3. Izzie begging at Denny to let her cut the L-Vad wire that kept him alive. She was screaming and crying becuz she was so afraid of loosing him, "What about me, Denny? Who's gonna look after me?!" Love can be so selfish at times...

4. When Derek came up to Addison one night, sitting at Joe's bar and said softly as if he was also talking to himself, "Christmas makes you want to be with people you love. I'm not saying this to hurt you, or because I want to leave you, because I don't. Meredith wasn't a fling. She wasn't revenge. I fell in love with her. That doesn't go away because I decided to stay with you". One mistake in marriage could never be repaired...

5. When Cristina lost her baby and got anxiety attack which made her couldn't stop crying all day. At the end of the day, Preston visit her and without a word came up to her bed and cuddled her in front of her mother. He crossed his leg around her legs and hold her really tight. At times, comfort is all we need. Not talk, not advice, not critic... Just a hug.

How is that? Do I convince you enough to watch it? Hehehe, if not, juz imagine seeing McDreamy, McSteamy, McVet... all the McSlrupy guys... That surely can become the eye candy :p
