Another film festival is here! :) Of course, as always I would read all synopsis to decide whether I wanna watch or not. From all the movies, I picked 4 movies. I don't wanna watch horror (ghost movie, monster, vampire, etc), but I do like a little thriller. For instance, "Saw" would instantly pass my movie list, while movies like "The Others" would definitely join in.
Last night, we watched "Hansel and Gretel". It was my boyfriend's choice, so that day I was prepared to hold his hand during the entire movie (cuz Japan/Korean movies can be so freakin' scary)...
I was doing fine. There was no ghost or whatsoever. There were only sadness and creepy music (which lingered in head). The smiles of the children. The forest. The cries for help. It reminded me of the original story of "Hansel & Gretel", a story about the bravery of two brother and sister who were tricked by a witch. It's like telling us that something can't be too good to be true & you have to fight for your happiness. I hope I can make a fairytale like that one day.
For the next, we will watch 2 more movies: "The Black Out" and "Chrysalis". We did watch "Home Movie" and "Fiksi" last Sunday, but I didn't wanna be reminded of that sick movie. However, I do want to know the end of Fiksi. I'm sorry for that night, puppie... I instantly knew that I had switched you off:( Anyways, I hope Tuesday night was better (thx for the delicious dinner!). I hope we do get to know each other better and better everyday.
