Review by Pictures: Paulaner Bräuhaus in Jakarta

During World Cup, the search for good venues to watch the game is inevitable. Me and a friend made a bet against each other. Since my friend defended the Panser, he chose this place. Germany lost. So, I went to this place carrying nothing but my empty stomach...  
 

Paulaner is originally a German brewery, established in the early 1600s in Munich by the Minim friars of the Neudeck ob der Au cloister. The mendicant order and the brewery are named after Francis of Paola, the founder of the order (data from Wikipedia).

Now, it is open in Jakarta. I will not say many things about this place... Just enjoy the pics!

 

The entrance is a bit difficult to find, 

maybe cuz it's located somewhere between Kempinski 

and Grand Indonesia.

 

Good crowd. Good service from the waiters. 

Some of 'em speak English properly.

Beers are cheaper than ice tea or soft drinks. Seriously.
Well, I personally like it, but for guests who don't drink, it's kind of a rip-off.

They have two kinds of signature beers, dark and light.
I chose the dark, and didn't quite like it (yet I drank it all, anyways).
If you are not a fan of dark beer like me, choose the light one instead.
If you go with a bunch of drinkers, buy 1 liter of beer (equal to 3 glass).

Now, where's the pic of the main course? I didn't take any... cuz as soonest the food arrived, I didn't care about anything but to enjoy it wholeheartedly *lols* I can say this is a great alternative to enjoy German food. Six of us ordered two portions of Paulaner Bräuhausplatte (Paulaner sausages, meat and knuckle platter with sauerkraut and mashed potato), and still not easy to finish the whole thing. It's pork. pork, pork. Yum. I will definitely come back.
