A Late Weekend Review: My First Shooting

Ok, I've been wanting to write this but I hadn't got the chance to do it due to the pack of works in da office. I am gonna have my first commercial shooting this month, and get to meet professional people in the field. The DOP (Director of Photography), the director (young and cute as hell... ciaaa!), and a new Production House. I hope everything will be ok. Well, last weekend was quite exhausting... Me and a friend helped my friend, Dina, moved out from her dorm (kos) to my dorm, which was actually her first dorm. Well, the story is quite interesting... (read it carefully, coz it's a bit confusing:p)... when she came to Jakarta last October she found a nice comfortable house, which has only two rooms to be rented. The owner is veery selective in deciding who's allowed to be the occupant of the rooms, coz basically she is a widow with 2 daughters and grand children who doesn't need money that desperately. Soo... she saw my friend Dina, she liked her and she allowed her to stay in the former room of her daughter. The room got basically more than a usual dorm room; it has a queen-sized bed, dressing table (with big mirror), a cupboard, TV cabinet, exhaust fan, and a table with drawers...

To make it short, she stayed there for like a month, before deciding to moved out because it was too expensive and the owner of the house did not give her the room key, and the keys to the second fence. She moved into a smaller and cheaper dorm in the same block. And then I came... took a glance of her room, and bargained with the owner of the house. What was surprising then, the owner agreed to low down the rent price, agreed to give me the room key plus the keys to the second fence! So I stayed there until now. And this month my friend decided to move back to my dorm, coz that way we can get in touch more easily and have accompany each other:)
But now she has to take the room (which is actually 1 1/2 bigger than my room) upstairs, and not having a complete furniture like I do. Isn't that something? Sometimes God works in a way that we all never know, never thought could happened...

So the three of us were moving all of Dina's stuff to the room on the 2nd floor. The 2nd floor is basically just a place for one room and a place to hang wet clothes, and the only mediator to go up is through a turning stair. Well, you can imagine how hard it is to take a 21" television, a TV cabinet and all that through that circular stair -_________- "
We'd finally managed to moved Dina's stuffs, and have Conello Ice cream together... treated by Dina. The next day Dina and me went to church and have some shooping at ITC Kuningan. She bought a bamboo curtain to be put in front of her window. Well, turned out that the bamboo curtain was too small and we had to switch it the next morning with a bigger size. We haven't able to put the curtain until this minute... hhhh, hopefully all of her stuff are settled just fine this week.

Well, this week is fun for me, coz I have many plans for the weekend. Go to BC Bar at Nikko Hotel to have an "Advertising Nite"... free Tequilla before 11 :) I hope I can meet cool people there ^o^ And on Sundaayyy... we are going to go to Internasional Java Jazz Festival. This is the biggest music event for this year. Wait for my full review about the event, coz I'm planning to watch the performance of Jeff Kashiwa, Eric Bennet, Angie Stone, Elfa's Singers, Indra Lesmana, PADI (no comments...), Bubi Chen, and have a music class lead by George Duke (piano) and Gilang Ramadhan (drums). Gonna be fun...

Also, at the same place, Jakarta Convention Hall, is gonna be held Photography EXPO in Hall A. Wohooo, can't hardly wait!!! ^_______^

Mourning news: Last Friday my mum called... Well, actually I was the one who called her and she informed me a sad and shocking news... an old friend of mine from church died because of typhus...

*took a moment in pray*

He was about 30 years of age, he was my senior and a fellow musician in the first church I ever served. He was a teacher in an international school. He was a kind, humble and hilarious man. We all grieving for his family. And that also reminded me and all fellow workers to take very seriously about what we eat and drink. Deseases would strike more and more this years...
I guess we all know what sign is that... The next? Repent to God and take Jesus in the heart.

Looking to Jesus, my spirit is blest,
The world is in turmoil, in Him I have rest;
The sea of my life around me may roar,
When I look to Jesus, I hear it no more. —Anon.

"Let us run . . . , looking unto Jesus." —Hebrews 12:1-2

Have a nice day, all. God bless.
