This week passed by too long for me and my friends. Coz this has been a pack week. The peak was last Friday, when I had to handled 4 brands in one day. With one client. Weird, huh? But after weekend, everythin' felt smooth. Friday nite me and some co-workers went to BC Bar in Nikko Hotel to attend "Advertising Nite". The nite was not as great as I expected. We just hang out and drinking beers without having any real host...so basically it was just a usual clubbing nite, where everyone is drinking, smoking and dance wild. My eyes hurted coz the cigarette smokes. I asked my friends to went home at 1 am, coz my eyes couldn't bared it anymore. Well, if I can choose, I'd rather go to a cafe/lounge than go to a pub/ bar. I mean, I'm not against it or anything...for me it's just ridiculous to meet up in a place where you have to shout out loud to hear yourself talking and communicate one another. I like clubbing sometimes, but not as I like cafe/ lounge... especially cafe with Jazz music ^o^
Then I got all my business done on Saturday; bought flight ticket via ATM, bought voucher for handphone, get my JJF ticket at Disc Tarra, bought some groceries, and most of all, chatted via internet ^____^ My friend was waiting for me, eventhough he had promised his friends to fast chatting :D hehehe... thx for waiting... Your "presence" does mean something for me.
After arrived home from Arion Mal, Dina and Hendro had already awaited me to go to church. Me and Dina decided to go to church on Saturday, coz Sunday we were watching Java Jazz Festival all day long. And that nite passed by so quick...
The three of us went out to warung to have dinner. Unluckily, it rained so hard... We were stuck at the warung for about 1 1/2 hour! So, after made conclusion that the rain wouldn't stop until tomorrow, we ran as fast as we could to the dorm (which is quite far) -_____- Huahaha, we were all wet, laughing and shouting while we were running. Hendro was running too fast, I shouted to made him slow down his steps, while Dina was shouting at me because she wanted to put her wallet and mobile phone on my postman bag:D Hahaha, it was sooo funny and ridiculous... By the time we arrived at a shelter, we laughed ourselves soo hard. Our clothes and hair were all messy and wet, but we chose to do so instead just sat in the warung waiting for the unstopable rain. Glad that we made that decision :D
At home, since me and Dina are staying at the same dorm now, we can accompany each other quite often every day. Kinda cool to have a sort of "dorm mate". Hehehe...
After taking a warm shower and wash our hairs we chatted that nite, worrying things we weren't supposed to... planning about how tomorrow was gonna be. Really excited to see the Festival. Our first music festival, eventhough we had attended many music concerts before. We ended up fell asleep that nite, luckily her bed is big enough for two, so we could sleep well until the next morning (without turning off the TV).
The next day, Sunday, Herman picked us up at 10 am. Heavy rain again. Had to queue for a while to enter the Jakarta Convention Centre. Herman parked his car quite far, but we were thankful enough to get a parking space. The Festival which in the previous schedule (given through the net etc) supposed to begun at 12, were said to begun at 2 pm. So we were walking around in the Computer Fair, in the next Hall. We watched some digicams, handycams, then went off to have lunch and back at 1.40 pm. And you know what? We'd already missed the music clinic by George Duke (piano)! Me and Dina were a bit upset that by the time we got there the class was already dismissed. I only got his autograph that day, since I didn't watch his performace either (too crowded). I chose to watched Jeff Kashiwa, a Japan American Saxophonist who is cute enough. At a glance his face looks like MTV's VJ, Utt. I didn't regret a bit of being there, in fact I even got a cool friendly guy sitting close to me:p
At first I noticed he sat beside me with his friend. I thought in a glance "Not bad looking fella...if my eyes see corectly". Then I begun to busy with myself; guessing who was the next performer, checking my schedule from the official magazine... Then I heard someone was talking so clear through my ear, I still didn't pay attention or responded to it coz I thought it could be someone talking with his friend...
me : *reading the review of Jeff Kashiwa in the magazine*
him: *nudge shoulder*
me : "eh, ya...?" *see his face close up...'damn! he's as cute as I thought'*
him: "lagi nungguin apa?" *smiled*
me : *thinking...'o'o, am I in the wrong room?'- since I often lost direction*
"rrr...Jeff Kashiwa?" (just finished watching Eric Benet in Plenary Hall)
him: "ooh, emang khusus dateng ke Jazz Fest mau liat Jeff Kashiwa ya?"
me : *thinking...'no particular reasons. I just love jazz'*
"Engga sih..."
him: "Yang paling ditunggu-tunggu di jazz fest ini siapa?"
me : "Hmm... Eric Benet sih..."
him: "Ohh..."
*silence for few seconds*
me : "kamu?"
him: "oh, aku baru aja koq mencoba...enng..."
me : "menikmati..."
him: "yaa, menikmati jazz"
me : *thinking...'he's quite tall, wearing earing on his left ear...cool, not gay'*
him: "kemaren2 dateng juga?"
me : "oh, engga...kerja sih. kamu?"
him: "iya sama..."
and bla bla bla blaa..... then my friend Keke came and sat beside me. My friend a bit surprised that I chatted with new guy. (Later on I asked her, "Wasn't he handsome?" "Yea, he's handsome") We then chatted during the performance, he talked about last concerts he watched, the trouble he had had to get to the festival, etc... about an hour...
him: "kamu ngga mau liat Angie Stone? (at the Plenary Hall)"
me : "enngg, ya...mungkin nanti, aku masih mau liat Jeff Kashiwa ampe selesai"
him: "Oohh..."
*me shouting and clapping hard to Jeff Kashiwa and Ruth Sahanaya*
him: *nudge shoulder*
"Eh, aku cabut dulu yah...mo nonton Angie Stone..." (his friend is leaving him)
me : "oh..okay...enjoy!"
him: "bye" *smile*
me : "bye"
*end of conversation*
That's it. I'm sorry I forgot his name and didn't ask for his number. Lho, you think is it appropriate for a woman to ask a guy number first?
Hell, after that I kept on enjoying Jeff Kashiwa performance and moved later on to saw Indra Lesmana, checked out PADI (famous local band) before we were sure that they were sucked. Many people watched their performance, but I don't think they were deserved to be in the Festival. I think even Zefa, a ten-year-old piano player, performed way better than them -_____-
While waiting for Indra Lesmana Reborn in Assembly Hall 1, I asked my friends to keep my space and went to the nearest restroom. On the way back, my shoulder slightly bumped a guy... Nicholas Saputra. The curly haired guy who played on the famous "Ada Apa Dengan Cinta" :) He wasn't curly anymore, almost bald like Bruce Willis, holding his familiar type of handphone, talking to someone. My,oh my... one of the people I wanna meet in person, but wait... he was not alone... there was Mariana, that kawaii LUX soap model, beside him. I was shocked. Hiks, apparently he is not single...
hehehe, not that I am actually thought he could end up with me or somewhat, but knowing someone you like single is pretty relieving :p
Anyway, we ended that day by watching the performance of Ireng Maulana all stars and Ermi Kulit. I got all of their autographs too :p My friend said I am like an autographs collector. hehehe, I guess I just like the fun in meeting them face to face, made them pay a little attention to me, chat a bit, allowed me to say something about their music... the autograph is not essential :) Taking picture is also not that essential either...
But yeah, I had fun. I had a blast listening jazz aaalll dayy loongg... I hope an event like this would last annually as we're trying to keep Jazz alive in Indonesia.
I hope you had had a great weekend too :)
