Weekend Review: Bein' A Festival Lover...

What a weekend! Phew! Dari Jumat sampe Minggu non stop. Tapi ngga nyesel banget deh...
TOP abies!!! Walaupun cape banget boow... I almost got sick... Always been that way; got a headache (migrain as usual), a bit flu sydrome, drank Vitamin C, got better again, went out again, got fever syndrome again, and so on... I guess sometimes we can fight sickness with our will to stay healthy. If God allows. Anyway, here's a recap of my weekend:

Friday nite
* Headin' to IES to have my usual choir practice. I forgot to bring my cell and jacket, so I had to went back home and refreshed myself a bit. Arrived at IES, and found my fave J.co donut brought by Micha, and chocolate brought by Dewi who are having birthday that week. We practice a li' harder that nite, coz we're gonna sing Christmas Carol soon. I love every minute of it! Didn't want to end the choir practice, especially coz... hahaha... well, I have my own reason :p

* After that, I rushed headed to Djakarta 21 coz realised that I brought Yenny's ticket with me! Sorry, girl. I arrived by Blue Bird cab and found Keke and Pyor were waiting for me in front of the King Kong poster. We missed "Beautiful Boxer" only for like 5 minutes; it was a great movie, by the way, very entertaining, yet touching. It was the 5th Jiffest movie I've watched that week. Hehehe.
* Last, six of us headed to Mc Donald's (around midnite) coz Keke wanted to ate. Pyor was staying at our place that nite.

Saturday Festival
* Needless to say, it was such a pack day. We started our day by heading to Blok M. Dina, Pyor , and myself went to Rawamangun terminal to catched Bus no. 32. It is the only AC Bus that go to Blok M beside Kopaja 300 (UKI-Cawang-Blok M); waited long enough, Pyor even got a chance to ate soto first :D
* Arrived at Blok M, got a cab and went straight to Kemang Festival, which located from Mc Donald's Kemang 'to Barbados cafe. Quite far. The street was closed that day. I did expect that the festival was as good as art festival or something unique and artsy. Well, it was! It was like in Bali (hahaha), well, not exactly like Bali, but yes... there were plenty bules, art and crafts, paintings, accessories, jewelry, and fancy-fancy stuff that normally catch women sight :p Me and Dina loved it. Kalap juga, beli ini-itu yang sebenernya nggak jelas apa gunanya... Hahaha, I bought 6 items that day (mini Moschino perfume, bamboo coasters, piggy bank, earings, necklace, and tatoo), and had already planned to go back the next day after Sunday service.
* Though we wanted to stay longer, we had to rushed back to the busway station coz me and pyor were to watch another Jiffest movie. Yes, I bought total 7 tickets of Jiffest (Silver membership + White membership). Me and pyor headed to Djakarta 21 and watched "Vital" (a Japanese absurd movie -___-) quite late. Then, we both had dinner at Pizza hut.
* Pyor went back home, while I continued my agenda by watching my last Jiffest movie, "5 x 2" (which was sold out). I was sooo tired and made myself asleep for few minutes :D So, it was kinda a decreasing... From peak to hill... I didn't quite enjoying my last 2 movies. I arrived home at 10pm and slept tight.

Happy Sunday
* Pretty surprising that day... I managed to woke up at 6.30! I noticed Dina was about to leave home to performed violin with her students. I got dressed and arrived at church at 8.15! Bravo, telly! I've finally able to used public transportation without being late:p Ah yes, as you prob don't know, it took twice to get to IES (GJSA Batu Tulis). I need to walk until jl. balap sepeda (not far actually...), then ride on mikrolet 02 to stop at Kampung Melayu. From there I have to take another mikrolet 44, and stop right across the building. It usually takes 40 minutes to get there, but since it is Sunday morning, the traffic was not pack at all and I managed to arrived at church in 1/2 hour. Thx God :)

I was so cheerfully that day. I guess my bad mood is dissapearing lately, I dunno if it's becoz I pray about it a lot or it's becoz good things happen according God's plan. Or even more, is it because I am in love...? :p Hahaha, either way... I feel so blessed to be a part of music team. As I looked back, I'd just realised that IT IS what I've always wanted in college. How I used to say to Henny about joining a choir and become a part of sopranos. Well, I am now. And I have a terrific family. And I'm enjoying every minute of it!
It was when the Holy Spirit spoke to me, and I decided to make a commitment to serve Thee again. When I am feeling inadequate, HE take my hands and even carry me on His shoulder. I have nothing to worry about. My lack of skills, my troubleheart, my unbelievable pack schedule... God is so good me. All the time. All the way.
* I decided to go to Kemang Festival again-lol- with Dina and Dinny. Hoho, but it was a rainy day. We got "teased" by the rain as it was on and off while we were shopping and walking through the festival area. We didn't successfully visited the festival until the end of Barbados cafe, but we got to see "Little India" at Plaza Adorama (which is not a mall at all, according my opinion). I bought a package of bindi and sticker tatoo ^____^ Hehehe, it was fun, until we realised that we must go back home and then to church to attend the YAF (Young Adult Fellowship) Christmas party. We wore 60-70s costumes and wore cool glasses... hahaha, lots of fun! Me and Dina were a bit late, but we managed to sung, watched a lil' silly drama, and danced "jadul*" together. We got home at 11pm.

Continuous Monday
Monday, after office hour, I went to watch "The Chronicles of Narnia" along with Tony and Onie, while Keke was watching Wallace and Gromit. After that we decided to use the karaoke voucher that I've had for 2 hours. Wheew, singing! Didn't exactly have a lot of energy though, but it was ok :) I sung my favourite songs, like "Can't Help Falling In Love" and "My Happy Ending". We got home after midnite and I forced myself to get a hot shower before bed. Gosh, I definitely will miss those hot shower and springbed we have now. Since we are going to move to a cheaper dorm after this (not becoz we can't afford it, but due to uncompatibility with the owner of da house). I just wish I can get used to cold shower again (well, actually I can go to my gym if I wanted to have a hot shower or sauna).

So, that was it! My weekend review. Time does flies huh? I don't even realise it and... BOOM! my birthday is coming soon. That's why we need goal, friends. Me too. I wanna make a resolution for 2006. How about you?

* jadul stands for "jaman dulu" or "old time"
