Weekend Review: Yoga Week

[week 7]

Hmmmmmm...
getting easier or harder, yaah?? :p
It seems like cooling down, but it also still burns me at the same time.
It always hurts to know your love never goes anywhere...
Anyway, I am learning YOGA now. Hihihi, yep, the zleeppyy me... doing yoga, 2-3 times a week. I've tried basic yoga, yoga, and jazz yoga so far. I wanna try ashtanga (the higher level of yoga for advance), but I think I'm not that ready :p I'm afraid my bones would crack in pieces -lol-

Some basic poses in yoga: salutation seal, cobra, cat, mountain (tadasana), tree (vrksasana), eagle, bow, plank, child's pose, etc.

Yoga is not as simple as it looks lho ternyata... hihihi, same like tai-chi, which looks simple but actually hard to performed in total harmony. Believe me, I know. I've learnt tai-chi for 4 years before I graduated from college.

Well, yoga is actually a sport that explores breathing technique. You breath; inhale and exhale, and trying to circulate the air all over your vascular. They say it can heal some deseases, reduces health risk, and relieves you from stress. After couple of sessions, I think I understand why. Yoga make you able to concentrate more, and loosen up all your joints.
The breathing is also coherent with my vocal training, where I used to be introduced to hissing and sipping technique. It's where you inhale (sip) and put all the air you can get in your lungs, then exhale (hiss) to let the air out through your mouth. That's when you wanna sing powerful enough using your diaphragm. If you're able to do that, you voice will not get hoarse cuz of "too much" singing. And you can train that, coz it's all about muscle. Interesting, ya? ^__^ That's why I like singing (eventhough I am not even near to perfection).

One day, I will get myself into a vocal audition, just to value how much I've learn... hehe, one day...
